JaHarr S. Pridgen is the Chief Judge of Buffalo City Court.  Chief Judge Pridgen was appointed to this position on June 30, 2022 by Mayor Byron Brown after serving on the Buffalo City Court bench since January 2, 2015.  Chief Judge Pridgen is the first female to serve as Chief Judge of Buffalo City Court.

Prior to serving on the bench, Chief Judge Pridgen served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.

Chief Judge Pridgen is an active member of the community and recipient of many awards; however, she is most proud to carry the title of wife to Pastor Craig D. Pridgen of True Bethel Baptist Church Niagara Falls and the title of mother to Jordin Elice and Journey Eliza.
