Geraldine Horton (Gerri) graduated from Buffalo State College with a BS Degree in Business Education, a MS Degree in Business Education, and a CAS in School Administration and Supervision. In addition, she holds a certificate of School Transformation and Turn Around from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Link Gerri was an employee of the Buffalo Public School System for 30 years prior to her retirement in August of 2012.

Gerri is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, she is currently serving as President of Buffalo (NY) Chapter, of the Links, Incorporated. She has served as President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Gamma Phi Omega Chapter, Member of Leadership Buffalo.

Gerri is honored to have served the Buffalo (NY) Chapter of. The Links, Incorporated as Chairman of Service to Youth, Financial Secretary, 2nd Vice President, Vice President of Membership, and the Current Chapter President. She has also served Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as The Great Lakes Cluster Coordinator, Western New York Cluster Coordinator, Chairman of the 85th Great Lakes Regional Conference, President and Vice President of Gamma Phi Omega Chapter, Membership Chairman, Connections Chairman, and a member of the International Standards Committee.

It is through service that we gain our greatest reward. It is most rewarding to have had an opportunity to serve the students and the community of Buffalo, New York as a member of Buffalo (NY) Chapter of The Links Incorporated and an Employee of the Buffalo Board of Education.
